Marijuana causes health problems, death, cancer, psychosis and accidents?!? Help!?

Marijuana causes health problems, death, cancer, psychosis and accidents?!? Help!?
1. Marijuana is dangerous and people who smoke it will die:
http://www.cdc.gov/HomeandRecreationalSafety/Poisoning/brief_full_page_text.htm
Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control's official chart on deaths caused by drug use. Notice how marijuana is not even on the chart.
http://www.druglibrary.org/Schaffer/library/graphs/graph03.htm
Here is a link to the Schaffer Library of Drug Policy's chart for drug related deaths in the U.S. notice how marijuana is not on the chart. This is a site that opposes all drug use including marijuana.
2. Marijuana is unhealthy for the body and causes cancer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp633lcU9F8&feature=related
This is a link to a video by the endocannabinoid system network on how marijuana effects the over all health of the body. Notice how it effects all healthy function of the human body.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FgBWpE3rak&feature=share
This is 1 of 3 videos on the 4th national conference on marijuana theraputics featuring some of the worlds top researchers on marijuana that discusses the results of their research on the effects of marijuana in the brain, body, cancer, asthma, heart, etc.
3. Most people that die from marijuana use die because of accidents from being "impaired".
http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/misc/driving/driving.htm
This link goes over how marijuana effects driving with detailed information on the official studies and sources. Notice how the reports suggest that drivers on even high levels of marijuana are safer than sober drivers. This group is against all drug use.

This link gives information on the studies done on how marijuana effects driving with quoted official statements and sources. This is a pro marijuana site.
4. Marijuana kills brain cells but not cancer cells:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68dM1HsZzuE&feature=related
This is video footage of THC killing brain cancer cells while not killing brain cells.
5. Marijuana makes you lazy and stupid:

This is a link to famous marijuana users and their roll in history and in current society.
6. Marijuana causes psychosis:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrahydrocannabinol
This is a link that talks about the details of THC. Note that THC activates the 5-HT2a and deactivates the 5-HT1a receptors causing psychosis.
Oh but marijuana has another active ingrediant...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabidiol
Note that cannabidiol has the opposite effects on these receptors stopping the possibility of psychosis.
Studies that associate marijuana to psychosis followed one of two methods:
1:Injecting pure THC into the blood stream to induce psychosis
2:Giving marijuana to patients for long periods of times then suddenly discontinuing all use. Anyone that takes an anti-psychotic then suddenly stops it's use will display symptoms of psychosis.
This is not proof that marijuana causes psychosis. We already knew anti-psychotics caused psychosis when sudden and complete discontinuation occured, and who shoots up THC? Proof that marijuana causes psychosis would be finding proof that the patient has psychosis while smoking marijuana regularly. But they can't and know that they can't because marijuana is an anti-psychotic in it's natural form.

Anyone else have links to official reports and expert testimony on the effects of marijuana from conclusive reports rather than "suggestive" "theoretical" reports?
1. There is more history of studies on marijuana than tabacco and over 8,000 years of documented use of marijuana, 5,000 years of that alone just in China. There is documented history of the use of tabacco for what? 70, 80 years? Big difference. Not to mention medical studies have made huge leaps in advancement since you remember tobacco being recomended by medical studies.
Cleeps, thanks for the link. And yes, agreed. According to medical researchers the body has huge amounts of anandimide in the uterus during development of the baby.
Anandimide is a neurotransmitter released by the body that works exactly the same way THC does. Studies have shown that this chemical is low before conception but high after.
High levels of Cannabinoids cause the sperm to have difficulty to penetrate the egg and prevents the egg from attaching to the uterus. However, high levels of cannabinoids are necissary for proper developement of the lungs, brain, nervous system, digestive tract and muscle tissue within a fetus. So it is absolutely ridiculous to say marijuana causes birth defects.
According to the scientists who discovered both THC and Anandimide they are exactly the same.
Cleeps I like that article. Especially where it talks about CBD countering the psychoactive effects of THC. I don't know where they got their information about breeders making marijuana that has more THC in increasing numbers though.
Indica is mostly CBD. Sativa is mostly THC. Most hybrid cross strains made by breeders are a combination of these two and have relatively equal levels of CBD to THC. There are various levels though due to the need of difference in content. Someone who has low energy and low brain stimulation needs more THC. Someone with hyperactivity and psychosis needs more CBD. There are strains that have 50%THC and 50%CBD, 95%THC and 5%CBD, 5%THC with 95%CBD and everything in between. The majority of these strains are about 40% - 60% both ways.

Follow the money. No one on your list makes money from selling marijuana. I'm old enough to remember medical recommendations to smoke cigarettes. All medical studies are bunk.

I'm a psychologist, and I smoke. I chose not to smoke when pregnant, but had friends (other psych geeks) research the effects of marijuana on unborn children. Their results? Not at all bad for baby. The anti-drug sites, though, make all sorts of claims without footnoting/citing any studies. (My friends doing the research were not pro mj and were disappointed that they could not find anything to suggest it is bad...they have since conceded that the anti-marijuana campaign is a bunch of outdated propaganda.)

This is an awesome documentary on the negative effects of mj: http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/natureofthings/2010/downsideofhigh/ It talks about how it is the engineering of marijuana that leads to psychosis, rather than mj itself. If it were legal, the government could regulate the amount of THC, thus decreasing the negative effects.

I really enjoyed your post. Good work.
