Try calling your local shelter or a wildlife rehabilitator to see if they can help remove the birds for you.
Legally, if the birds are inside of your loft your landlord is supposed to take care of the issue immediately. I would definitely give him a call if all else fails.

legally, you or your landlord cannot remove them, if these are native birds they are protected by law. How long have you been hearing them....if it has been a while the birds may be ready to fledge soon and will not be bothering you anymore. Once the birds are gone you should block the entrance so they will not nest there again.

Hi, sorry i don't know the answer to that, but we have exactly the same problem !
They are so noisy and don't know what to do, as obviously don't want to cause the birds & babies any harm.
I have been toying with the idea of contacting the RSPB??
However i don't think they would affect asthma sufferers unless "acute". Sorry i couldn't help but am certainly interested in any replies you might get.
Kind Regards :O)
