I have work related asthma questions ?

I have work related asthma questions ?
Three men have moved to my department recently and there is an asthma issue with each of them.

When one man comes back in from smoking he reeks of tobacco and I have a difficult time breathing. One man is not very hygienic and smells as if he wears the same clothes over and over without washing them. Another wears cologne that makes it difficult for me to breathe.

I'm going to come off as a bee-yotch if anything is said - their department was consolidated into mine and they are not happy about it in the first place.

I'm using my rescue inhaler more than ever and I don't like doing it two or three times a day. Nothing has come up like this before because the women and men have never worn fragrance in the department but a few know about the asthma.

What would you do and how in the world does someone approach the guy who smells?

Thanks.

I would talk to your supervisor/manager and ask if there's any way you can be moved to a different area.

Also, consult with Human Resources/Corporate policies. The corporation I work for doesn't allow any sort of fragrances and is VERY strict on enforcing that rule for this reason.

Don't allow your health to be compromised just so that confrontation is avoided! Good luck!
