Do fever, chills aches and pains ever accompany asthma attacks?
Woke up and felt achey, had the chills throughout the morning and started to develop a fever and headache. An hour or so later, my chest got tight and I could tell an attack was about to happen. Took my inhaler, didn't help. Went home from work early and had a full blown attack. Fever got worse.

no.it sounds as if u have a severe upper respiratory infection or possibly bronchitis.see a dr.if its just a bad cold,u will have to rest, drink fluids and use an inhaler if u feel an attack coming on.antibiotics cant cure a u.r.i.but,u must see a dr to clarify if u may have pneumonia or bronchitis, these are serious illness, especially if ur airway function is already compromised by chronic asthma.antibiotics will cure bronchitis orpneumonia.take care.fever and chills are signs of infection.

You're fighting an infection dear. The asthma is probably because the nasty bug is also attacking your bronchioles. Go get some antibiotics right away(Doc) before it worsens (seeing you already suffer from an existing lung problem).
