Can you catch bronchitis from not wearing a coat in the winter?

Can you catch bronchitis from not wearing a coat in the winter?
My friend has never worn a jacket this winter and she is now coughing and her spit is yellowish I think she has bronchitis but not 100% sure. I live in NY so it can get pretty cold. Do you think she has bronchitis? Also she always wears a hoodie with a short sleeve shirt underneath. And this is early in the morning say like 7:15am.

You can`t catch bronchitis from being cold but speaking from experience breathing in cold air certainly doesn`t help. Or pollution. Suggest she wears a scarf around her nose and mouth (unless she gets mistaken for a mugger) and always breath through the nose. Breathing in steam with Vics ( if you have that in the USA) always clears my airways. Hope this helps.

The most frequent respiratory : diseases which may occur at any age is bronchitis. There are 2 forms of bronchitis: acute and chronic. The actual signs or symptoms of the acute bronchitis happen to be harsh and often diminish in a couple of days. Knowing this it's best to visit the medical physician in a timely manner when the signs and symptoms reside for over a few days. Most commonly it is resulting from serious cold and in many cases it's really a reaction to a virus infection.

Compared with acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis needs a prolonged therapy.
