Am I at greater risk of getting swine flu because i have Asthma?
I have Asthma and i heard that You die from swine flu from respatory complications ro somthing? Is that right?
And will i be at greater risk of dying from it because I have Asthma?
Im so scared :(

Plz don't be scared. It's not here yet. I sleep in an iron lung from Polio( not many of us left!), so I am a greater risk too. Just be strong and live your life and be as safe as you can.

Do not worry. I am almost willing to bet that some of the cases in the New York High School had asthma as asthma is now very common. Keep yourself healthy. Get your rest and eat properly. Drink plenty of fluids. Wash your hands before you eat and do not touch your face without washing. Try to keep away from people who seem to be sick. The hard thing about this is that this is allergy season and many people are coughing and sneezing. If you begin to have symptoms that are presented in the link that is pasted, call your doctor.

They are saying now that the people that died in Mexico had complications/infections. And yes they have said that it could be worse for those with chronic illnesses.
On the other hand, like the 1918 pandemic, this virus seems to affect those who are young (15-40) and that have an strong immune system. They aren't sure why, it's weird.
Just stay informed and wash your hands a lot. And avoid those who become sick. That's all we can do, ya know?
