Is there a link between chemical sensitivity and enlarged axillary lymph glands?
I worked in at a company for 10 years and was exposed to many different chemicals. In1989 I came
down with a very bad case of pneumonitis, sense then I can't tolerate being around chemicals (perfumes, cigarette smoke, household cleaning products, paints, ect). When I am exposed I have a delayed reaction, usually the next day or so, (sinusitis, rhinitis, pleurisy, and occupational asthma).
My axillary lymph nodes are one and a half times the size they should be. I am wondering if this is caused by the constant exposure to chemicals in my environment. I try to avoid chemicals as much as possible. Would an allergy test or a Rast text be of any benefit to finding information to my question or do you have any other ideas? Thank-you for taking the time to answer Emily

I suspect you are concerned about the invasiveness of a lymph node biopsy? Best thing to do is have it done. It is far more definitive. Allergies may make you more prone to infections but will not cause lymphadenopathy.
