I have have sports induced asthma, when should i use my inhaler?
I was wondering if when I train for my sports activities, Rugby, I should use my inhaler. Or is it better to use it only when I compete. I try and run everyday and I feel that I can push my self more when I use it but I know it is the inhaler doing the work. Would I get better results if I didn't use it and when I did on competition day would it be even more affective, or is there no difference?

use it when you need it.

Eat some reefer in the morning, its a bronchiodilator and so long as you dont eat too much isnt gonna get you high that way nor come with the negative effects of the hot smoke being inhaled. Save the inhaler for serious episodes... Made it through four years of HS football & two JC without any serious attacks.

From my own experiences with asthma, you should use it before any intense physical activity and when you lose your breath and feel like an attack is coming.

Per the National Institute for Health guidelines a person with exercise induced asthma should use their inhaler approximately one half hour prior to strenuous activity. In addition, If you are having daily symptoms you really need to talk to your doctor about get on a controller medication such as Advair. Also, when you use your inhaler make sure that you are using a spacing chamber so that you are getting all of the medication that you need.
