What do you think of this comment?
A woman I work with had a severe asthma attack in front of me and a few other workers. She was wheezing badly and we had to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital.
She returned to work about a week later. When she did, a coworker of ours said she was like a celebrity. Once the woman heard this, she lowered her head and quietly said that the whole thing was embarrassing.
What do you think about the celebrity comment?

um. . that it was stupid. I'm not understanding the correlation between having an asthma attack and being a celebrity. . she didn't get up and sing a song, or dance or recite Shakespeare. . she had a asthma attack. . .

I don't think the coworker probably meant anything by it. Probably just his or her way of welcoming her back.

that comment was distasteful. It sounds like the person who made the comment has some jealousy issues of all of the attention the co worker received. The coworker that had the attack was embarrased and it was wrong to make a comment like that

i think it was probably meant in jest- i don't see it as a big deal...
