allergy???
my pit has a white spot on his skin(no hair) do you think because of his food? im feeding him natural choice... or is it because of the shampoo? i use to give him a bath 3x a week... the vet said use the johnson baby shampoo then give him a bath 1x week. should i change his food to I AMS to see if his allergy to natural choice?

Only try one thing at a time. I would do what the vet said first. 3x a week may be a bit excessive and you could be drying out his skin. The Johnson's baby shampoo is very mild and wont zap the moisture from his skin. Do this for a few weeks, keep him on the same food. If he gets better, then that was the problem. If he gets worse, try changing his food one at a time, leave him on the new food for one week straight and see how he is doing. If he continues to worsen, take him back to the vet, he may have a skin condition requiring a prescription.

It could be anything. Take him to the vet, the same a him someone you know had a spot on their skin. Sadly, it could be cancer.

I have two Pits. My female has the same problem.. I thought the same thing about the food. So I changed their food all the time. No results... Then I started asking people.. I got several suggestions but the one that worked best for me was a shampoo called Selsun Blue Medicated for humans.. About three baths later she started getting her hair back.. But it was a struggle w/ the fleas because she kept scratching her self.. When I got her out of the dirt & got rid of the fleas I started having better luck...
