Trying to join the Air Force. Had asthma, but no longer. Can I get a waiver to join with negative asthma tests?

Dr. prescribed inhalers 3 times in the last 3 years, but not for asthma. Inhalers are a red flag for the military and they are balking. Went and got a spirometry test. Shows normal function. Is this enough to get a waiver? Can do a methacholine challenge to rule out asthma, but they are expensive. Will a negative on this help me get in? Any other ideas?
