The antiobiotic was called Amoxycillin or something. Took it for 5 days or so and since starting it my asthma has all but cleared up, seriously! Course of it ended about a week ago and haven't had any real problems with asthma since - may have taken inhalers once or so. How come?

I think it's temporary and asthma will get worse again - same happened after getting H1N1 jab last January. After jab asthma cleared up for abut a week but then came back.
Normally I take Ventolin, Symbicort & Singulair.
Ventolin is Salbutamol. Symbicort is a Budesonide/formoterol mix. Singulair is Montelukast.

I have had these kinds of things happen to me so I understand what you're saying. I do know that sometimes just having a cold will cause asthma to act up. I'm wondering if the Amoxycillin cleared up an infection that might have irritated your asthma. And maybe with the jab, that caused your body to fight off some low grade infection that was just hanging around making asthma worse. I always have theories about what cause my asthma to ease up or get worse. Some doctors think heartburn can cause asthma. Also they say inflammation has something to do with it. It's difficult to know how it works. There may be a new drug on the way for asthmatics, just read about it in the news.
