Is asthma always exercise induced?

Is asthma always exercise induced?
I am writing a story in which one of the characters have asthma. I personally don't have asthma, so that's why I'm asking this. What I mean by the question above, is that is asthma always made worse by exercise? Or can some people with asthma exercise without any problems, but still be affected by things like allergies and smoke?

An asthma attack can be triggered by almost anything. A scent, smoke, pollutants, chemical smells - in particular, dust, animals, pollen, mold would be big triggers. Getting emotionally upset or angry or fearful can also put the body on 'red alert' and trigger an attack. Exercise is just one thing, there are many other factors.

Here's a little info about asthma:

To answer your question, no asthma is not always triggers by exercise. It can be a trigger in some people but not all.
