I take panic attacks and have serious asthma?

I take panic attacks and have serious asthma?
my doc says i cant take meds for asthma and panic, as he said that the beta blockers would effect me .

BUT as i hyperventolate i often get asthma symptoms and take my inhaler ventolin . Ive taken an attack today n feel nervous.
