Asthma, Pneumonia, and Pregnant?

Asthma, Pneumonia, and Pregnant?
This morning I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. I also have severe asthma and I am 23 weeks (6 months) pregnant. I am wondering at what point I should go to the hospital.

I am taking the prednisone, antibiotics, and using the nebulizer, but I am getting no relief. I have done 7 nebulizer treatments in the past 24 hours. My husband tells me to tough it out, but I am just wondering if I should go to the hospital for oxygen for the baby? I am having pretty bad chest and back pain, and cannot get a full breath. Should I wait for the meds to kick in, or try and get to the ER for some help?

Any advice?
I have inhalers, but they dont work for the severity of my attacks. I am on prednisone to help my lungs from flaring up while I am dealing with the pneumonia, which I am on antibiotics for. The nebulizer is a breathing treatment that works in the same way as a rescue inhaler.

Anyways, I made it through the night, and am just trying to make it through today. Thanks for the answers

Your Baby is fine. But I am worried about prednisone and pneumonia. Call your doctor 24/7. there is something going on.

I definitely think just for the safety of your baby, you should either call the ER for an opinion or just go down there! When your carrying a child and you have something like pneumonia, they can get it too. That's certainly not good. Maybe while down at the ER ask for an albuterol inhaler.

This breathing technique will get extra oxygen into the lungs and will help you relax.Try it now.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.

Anulom Vilom –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 10 to 30 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
