Asthma medication side effects?

Asthma medication side effects?
I have always had trouble sleeping, but now im 14 the last year its been very bad. I can be very awake but tired at the same time, so its hard to sleep and hard to concentrate on anything. I suffered from depression for a while as well. I was reading articles on Asthma medication side effects and noticed that imsomnia and depression can happen.

I've been taking asthma medication since i was a young baby really and I still have Asthma very badly today. Is my medication the cause for my insomnia?
I also get very bad heart palpitations, and since May, anxiety attacks where my body convulses and shakes.

I had a dear friend who had asthma and died at age 45. This is back in the 80s and the medication were cortizone based (steriod). Her heart couldn't take enough of the steriod and she had a heart attack. The doctors told her the steriod actually gave her the extra years of life.
She didn't suffer from depression or insomnia. Actually she was pretty happy.

I too have bad asthma.., I have almost died from it many times..

I have and still am on Prednisone, Albuertol, Advair, singular, combuivent.. and etc.. what happens with the medication is it makes your heart pump faster.. and harder. So another words you have a surge of adrenline rushing through your body.. which basicly messes up your sleeping.. I was the same way. What helps is if you take melatonin a nat herb element which will knock you out. Once you get back on a normal sleep scheduel you will feel better.. because what happens when our body is deprived of sleep?
Make sure to try and sleep eariler, and drink warm milk with melatonin and youll fall asleep in about an hour
