chest pain in center of chest?
so the past 3 days or so i've noticed pain in the center of my chest and i have no idea what it is. i have asthma and recently had pneumonia 2 weeks ago. sometimes i dont notice the pain, but then other times i can feel it for quite a while. any answers appreciated.
it is in the smooth part of the chest in between the two pectorial muscles
is this something i need to go to the er for?
by the way, i'm almost 20 yrs old and a male

It could be gas or it could be heart pain. Go to a doc and get it checked out especially since you have asthma and just had pneumonia,. Maybe the pneumonia isn't totally gone yet.

Go see your doctor,it could just be where u were sick your lungs can get raw from coughing and hurt.But I knew someone that was having pain in the center of their chest and she had a heart attck soon after and had to have stents put in and is now fine,It best to get it checked out,wish i could have helped more :)

Sounds like you have pulled some muscles from coughing when you had pneumonia and your asthma. You could try Motrin or Advil and see if that helps the pain. I don't think you have a heart problem or the pain would continue to get worse and there would be no mistake it was your heart. You could try some heat on it also to relax the muscles but it will just take some time to feel better.
