If you ..like 65% of Asthmatics have Allergic Asthma ...
then your Asthma is GREATLY Driven by your Allergies.
To Reduce ..your Asthma Issues ...
You have to Identify What you are Allergic to...
and Neutralize your Allergy / Allergic Asthma Disease Source with Under-the-tongue ImmunoTherapy DROPs which are Custom formulated based on your allergy Test Result.
to have allergic Asthma and not Neutralize your Allergies with ImmunoTherapy ..is like trying to put a Gasoline fire out while the Gas hose is Still Pumping ..
So...
Do you have allergic Asthma ?
Are your Allergies being Neutralized with ImmunoTherapy ?
Let us know..

All asthma is allergic asthma, It might not be triggered by the normal allergens but the end result is an allergic reaction.
The best non medication treatment for asthma is to learn the asthma triggers and avoid them. Daily monitoring of peak flows with a peak flow meter can help detect the early states of an asthma attack before shortness of breath starts.
If you are unable to identify the triggers or unable to avoid them, a prescription medication is needed. Everyone who has been diagnosed with asthma should have a rescue inhaler with them at all times. If you use your rescue inhaler more then twice per week, you will need a controller medication to help prevent asthma.
The best controller medications are inhaled steroids, If an asthmatic uses their medications properly, monitors there peak flows daily and has a good asthma action plan, he/she can live symptom free.
In the US the only other medication like Advair is Symbicourt.
If you want ask your doctor if switching to Singulair is a good option. Its not a steriod. It is a once per day pill to help prevent allergies and asthma.
Other choices are....
Tilade and Intal are inhaled mast cell stabilizers that prevent asthma buy stopping the inflammatory chemicals to be released in the airway.
Xolair is a shot. It is considered a therapeutic antibody. It's an IgE blocker developed to reduce the attacks and symptoms of allergic asthma.
Antihistamines can help but not very well alone. Histamines are some of the inflammatory chemicals that are released during a allergic reaction. The next generation of Singulair is said to have an antihistamine in with it.
