Something's Wrong With My Lungs?
I have a major problem: my lungs. My mom refuses to take me to the doctor, thinking that I'm making it up for some reason (I don't know why). It's not like, cancer, or a tumor, or anything. I was just born with naturally weak lungs (or my lungs might have gotten weaker over time for some reason). I really love singing and would one day (don't laugh), become famous as a solo guitar/vocals artist. People say I have a great singing voice, but I am unable to sing long notes. My dad was a chain-smoker, could that have affected it? How much damage could secondhand smoke cause? Also, due to my lungs, I am unable to run for a long time. I am at a healthy weight and am one of the fastest sprinters in my P.E. class. But long-distance running is a real challenge for me. No one in my family believe that I have asthma, and neither do I, for I have never had an asthma attack. The closest thing to an asthma attack I've ever had was when I could not breathe for about half a minute and then I ended up barfing... Please help! What could it be?
oh yeah, and I meant I would one day LIKE to become famous for guitars/vocals, haha. please don't think I'm conceited.

no one here could possibly give you an seriously accurate answer just by reading that. i suggest that you make it very clear to your mom what's going on so that you can see a doctor about this. and do you not regularly go to a family doctor? mention it when you have your regular check-ups. sorry that's not what you were looking for, but it's the truth.
