Is Oregon a good state to live in?
I am looking for a state to move to and I was wondering how Corvallis, Oregon is for anyone who lives there or lived there?
I have really bad Asthma and on a disability for that and other health problems so have to live where I don't get sick so much. I am hoping to return to work as a teacher down there or at least substitute. Is this a good area to live? Also, how is the drug/crime rate and a living conditions compared to most cities these days with gang levels increasing and drive by shootings. Thanks for any answers!

I don't know about Corvallis, but Oregon is pretty nice with beautiful landscape, no sales tax and mail-in ballots

Beutiful state. A great thing about Oregon is there is no salestax. A candy bar costing 50 cents acually cost 50 cents, no tax.
However proerty taxes are crazy high! So rent if you move there.
The people are so generous and down to Earth as well.
Good luck!

If you like Rain all year round and your half duck.(that is the coast of Oregon) No crime to speak of, the people and the criminals both have guns. The good guys out number the bad at least 500 to 1. Drugs, lots of old hippies so there may be drugs. If you leave them alone they will leave you alone. Gangs not very many and only in the big city.
Great place to live
