can low blood potassium cause shortness breath?


can low blood potassium cause shortness breath?
I have been having a problem with low blood potassium and I am seriously short of breath with little or no exertion, so are they related?

i was talking to a guidance officer yesterday. she said that it is possible, but it is important that you have it checked out by going for a blood test.. yay..

Hypokalemia: dizziness, hypotension, cardiac dysrhythmias, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal distention, decreased peristalis, muscle weakness, and leg cramps.

SOB: anemic?

You need to contact your physician. Earlier the better.
